Paris Sausage Walk 2024: The Dachshund Parade Returns to the Capital

The Paris Sausage Walk is back on November 17, 2024, for its 5th edition, ready to take the City of Light by storm! Dachshunds—fondly known as "sausages on legs"—will gather for an adorable stroll through the streets of Paris, all for a good cause. November in Paris is about to reach peak cuteness as these furry little sausages march once again in the much-loved “Marche des Teckels.” From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., dachshunds of all shapes, colors, and coats will proudly prance along the banks of the Seine, showing off their unique charm.

Last year’s walk, inspired by a similar event in London, drew an incredible turnout of over 500 dachshunds and their owners, all marching along Paris’s iconic riverside paths. This year, the route remains the same: starting and ending on the esplanade David-Ben-Gourion, directly across from the Quai Branly Museum in Paris’s 7th arrondissement. The adorable parade of tiny legs will trot along the Seine, ending their journey at the Port of Solférino, just across from the Musée d'Orsay.

But this joyful parade has a deeper purpose. The Paris Sausage Walk is organized by a group of dedicated volunteers who share a love for dachshunds and a commitment to supporting Teckels sans doux foyer, a local charity focused on dachshund welfare and adoption. To raise funds for this worthy cause, bags, accessories, and posters will be available for purchase during the event.

Dachshund fans, come meet other enthusiasts and join in on this mini-dog, mega-walk experience. Expect high levels of cuteness and camaraderie as dachshunds and their humans come together in support of a common goal. No pre-registration required—just bring your dachshund and your love for these charming four-legged friends!
